2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Boasts A Fine-Tuned Full Dual Exhaust: Video

The all-new, 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor boasts a lot of firsts. Half-a-decade ago, who would ever have dreamed we’d find ourselves in the midst of an aluminum-bodied performance truck powered by a twin-turbo V6 with “Eco” in the name?

Yet here we are, and in a recent video, Ford Performance asks us to consider yet another “first-ever” feature for the F-150 Raptor: a full dual exhaust. Yes, believe it or not, but even the mighty, Super Duty-sourced 6.2-liter V8 found in the 2014 SVT Raptor utilized an exhaust that reduced to just one pipe, although the system did boast dual exits.

According to Ford Performance, the new, full dual exhaust on the 2017 F-150 Raptor was fine-tuned on the dynamometer to guarantee stellar performance. The end result, of course, is 450 peak horsepower with up to 510 lb-ft of torque. Both figures are considerably higher than those produced by the old 6.2-liter V8.

And hey, it doesn’t sound too shabby for a V6, either. Watch the video above for more on the Ford F-150 Raptor’s first-ever full dual exhaust.
