Ford Counsel Appointed To Michigan Council On Future Mobility

Ford Motor Company Counsel Emily Frascaroli has been appointed to the Michigan Council on Future Mobility – a council of 21 persons from public and business institutions that will provide guidance to the Governor and Legislature on policy matters pertaining to connected and autonomous vehicles.

Ms. Frascaroli, who lectures at the University of Michigan Law School, started off in engineering prior to getting a Juris Doctor degree in 2001. She holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a MEng in the same field from the University of Michigan. Previously, she worked as an engineer at both Ford Motor Company and NASA.

Of course, Ford isn’t the only major automaker to land an appointee on the Michigan Council on Future Mobility; FCA Senior Technical Fellow/Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering Stephen Buckley, and Toyota Research Institute VP of Autonomous Driving Ryan Eustice, have also been named.

Says Michigan Governor Rick Snyder of the recently-announced council appointees: “Staying ahead of the curve in the field of mobility is key to Michigan’s future success. With these individuals lending their expertise from the field, we can be proactive in adopting new policies necessary to keep making advancements for Michigan and the world.

“All of us working together will make cars smarter and safer for people globally while continuing to drive our economy forward.”
