Mike Berardi – Ford’s Global Director of Service Engineering Operations – loves the Ford Mustang. In fact, his own, personal collection contains 43 specimens ranging from the original, 1964.5 model to the present-day, including noteworthy special models like the Boss and the Mach 1.
And on June 9th, 2017, Mr. Berardi will be giving a tour of his private Ford Mustang collection, concurrently with the Mercury Cougar 50th Anniversary Show in Dearborn, Michigan. Attendance will be free to all parties registered for the Cougar show.
Mike Berardi’s collection all started in 1978 with a bit of an unlikely first pony car: a Ford Mustang II with a 2.3-liter inline-four. To this day, two examples of the Pinto-based Mustang II still dwell in his collection, as do some much more enviable cars: a 1966 Shelby GT350H, a 2013 Shelby GT500, three different Indy 500 pace cars, etc.
